Challenge
The client recognized the need to modernize their IT infrastructure to support future growth. However, they lacked a clear understanding of their current IT maturity level and the areas requiring improvement. They sought a comprehensive assessment to identify gaps and develop a strategic roadmap for IT optimization.
Solution
Our firm was engaged to conduct a thorough IT maturity assessment. We implemented a structured methodology designed to evaluate client’s IT capabilities across critical areas. We decided to use a proprietary approach to the assessment tailor-made for the client’s needs rather than one of the existing industry framework, as depicted below.
Our IT Maturity Assessment Methodology high-level approach:
Planning & Scoping: We collaboratively defined the assessment scope with key stakeholders, focusing on areas most critical to business objectives.
Data Collection & Analysis: We employed a multi-layers data collection approach via interviews, in-depth data analysis, documentation review and surveys.
Maturity Model Framework: Given the size and existing landscape, we decided to use a simplified maturity model framework based on the CMMI framework.
Gap Analysis & Recommendations: We compared the assessed maturity levels against industry best practices and desired future state and provided a comprehensive set of recommendations.
Reporting & Communication: A clear communication plan was agreed at the beginning of the project to share regular updates and, at the end, a detailed report was presented to key stakeholders, outlining the assessment findings, maturity levels, identified gaps, and actionable recommendations.
